Terms of Use – Doormath

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the Doormath platform (the “Service”), operated by 9417-6815 Québec inc., doing business as Doormath (“Doormath”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing the Doormath website or application, or by creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

Doormath is a real-estate analysis and valuation platform that allows, among other things:

  • to view public and private information related to properties;
  • to obtain property value estimates and market indicators;
  • to adjust certain property characteristics to obtain personalized results;
  • to voluntarily interact with verified real-estate brokers.

Doormath is not a real-estate brokerage service, nor a certified appraiser.

2. Eligibility and Account Creation

You must:

  • be at least 18 years old;
  • provide accurate and up-to-date information;
  • keep your credentials confidential.

You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account.

Doormath reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account in the event of abusive, fraudulent, or Terms-violating use.

3. Real-Estate Estimates and Artificial Intelligence

The estimates, scores, projections, and analyses provided by Doormath:

  • are based in part on automated processing, including statistical and algorithmic models;
  • are generated using public data, aggregated data, and user-provided data;
  • do not constitute a professional, legal, or regulated appraisal;
  • have no legal or contractual effect.

Results are provided for informational and decision-support purposes only.

You acknowledge that:

  • results may vary depending on data quality and availability;
  • no guarantee of absolute accuracy is provided;
  • Doormath cannot be held liable for decisions made based on the estimates.

4. User Contributions

Users may adjust certain property characteristics (e.g., square footage, renovations, luxury level).

These contributions:

  • do not modify public or official records;
  • are aggregated and anonymized;
  • may be used to improve models and generate global statistics;
  • are never published individually nor attributed to an identifiable user.

By submitting this information, you grant Doormath a non-exclusive license to use it for the purposes of the Service.

5. Interactions with Real-Estate Brokers

5.1 Invitations

Verified brokers may send invitations to users.

Before acceptance:

  • only the first name, account name, and limited context (e.g. municipality or property) are visible;
  • no activity or estimate data is accessible.

5.2 Matching

Once the invitation is accepted:

  • the broker receives limited access to certain activities (properties viewed, claimed, estimates);
  • this access is solely for personalized guidance.

Brokers:

  • do not have access to any information beyond the authorized scope;
  • may communicate with you only through the Doormath platform.

You can end the association at any time in your settings.

6. Payments and Subscriptions (if applicable)

Some services may be paid or offered via subscription.

All fees:

  • are displayed before confirmation;
  • are non-refundable unless stated otherwise;
  • may be changed with reasonable prior notice.

7. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • copy, extract, or scrape data from the platform;
  • use the Service for fraudulent or illegal purposes;
  • attempt to access systems or data without authorization;
  • disrupt the operation of the platform.

Any violation may result in suspension or termination of the account.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, models, databases, code, interface, and trademarks associated with Doormath remain the exclusive property of Doormath or its licensors.

No rights are granted except with express authorization.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Doormath provides no express or implied warranties;
  • Doormath cannot be held liable for financial losses, investment decisions, or indirect damages;
  • use of the Service is at your own risk.

10. Privacy and Personal Information (Summary)

Doormath collects and processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

Key points:

  • data is used to provide and improve the Service;
  • estimates rely on automated processing;
  • data is hosted securely;
  • no personal information is sold;
  • brokers only access data after explicit consent.

The full Privacy Policy prevails in case of any discrepancy.

11. Analytics Tools

Doormath uses, among others:

  • Google Analytics
  • Microsoft Clarity

These tools help analyze usage of the Service to improve usability and performance.

Collected data:

  • is not intended to personally identify users;
  • intentionally excludes sensitive fields;
  • may be processed outside Québec or Canada under appropriate contractual safeguards.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time.

Doormath may suspend or terminate access:

  • in case of a violation of these Terms;
  • for security or legal reasons.

Certain obligations (liability, intellectual property) survive termination.

13. Changes

Doormath may modify these Terms at any time.

Any material change will be communicated and the last updated date will be adjusted.

Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and applicable laws of Canada.

Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of the judicial district of Montréal.
