  • Analytics and behavioural data

3. Purposes of Collection

We collect personal information for the following purposes:

  • Provide, operate, and improve Doormath services
  • Generate real-estate estimates and analyses
  • Personalize the user experience
  • Communicate with users
  • Ensure security and prevent fraud
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Automated Processing and Artificial Intelligence

Doormath uses automated processes, including algorithmic and artificial intelligence models, to produce:

  • property value estimates
  • market indicators
  • comparative analyses

These results are not a recognized professional appraisal, have no legally binding effect, and rely on available data and information provided by the user.

Users may:

  • correct or complete the data used
  • request general explanations of the factors influencing results

5. Sharing of Personal Information

Personal information may be disclosed to:

  • technology providers (hosting, analytics, payment)
  • legal authorities when required

We do not sell personal information.

6. Transfers Outside Québec

Some providers (e.g., analytics or cloud infrastructure) may host or process data outside Québec or Canada. In such cases, Doormath ensures appropriate contractual safeguards are in place to protect personal information.

7. Retention

Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes described above, unless otherwise required by law.

In accordance with Law 25, you may:

  • request rectification
  • request deletion
  • request portability
  • withdraw your consent
  • file a complaint with the CAI

9. Cookies and Analytics

Doormath uses analytics tools to measure and improve product experience. You can manage analytics and session replay preferences in your profile under Privacy & Data.

PostHog Analytics

Doormath uses PostHog for product analytics. When analytics is disabled in your profile preferences, PostHog tracking is disabled in the app.

Microsoft Clarity

Doormath uses Microsoft Clarity, an analytics service provided by Microsoft Corporation, to better understand site usage and improve user experience.

Microsoft Clarity may collect, among other things:

  • mouse movements
  • page scrolling
  • clicks and interactions
  • technical device/browser information

This data is aggregated and analyzed for UX improvement purposes, partially or fully anonymized, and not used to personally identify a user.

No sensitive information (such as passwords, financial fields, or personal information entered into forms) is intentionally recorded.

Clarity data may be processed or hosted outside Québec or Canada. Appropriate contractual safeguards are in place to ensure an adequate level of protection.

You can:

  • disable session replay directly in your profile preferences
  • disable analytics directly in your profile preferences
  • use browser settings or extensions that block analytics tools

10. Chatbot Personalization

The Doormath chatbot can use your account and claimed-property context to provide more personalized answers.

You can disable this behavior anytime from your profile under Privacy & Data. When disabled, the chatbot remains available in a more generic mode.

11. Security

Reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures are in place to protect personal information.

12. Changes

Any material changes will be published on the site along with an updated date.
